I see in the rules that Avengers is not eligible, but what about Joss' other films? I'd really like to do Cabin in the Woods.

Since Cabin in the Wood is Joss own creation, I say that it's fine.

Errr, you know that thing where you post something on your DW about "hahaha, wouldn't it be funny if somebody wrote a story about this thing?" So, if I said that about a Dr. Horrible bunny but I never did anything past then, could I actually write it for this fest?

The free-for-all is only on April 1st, and if you want to do something then, you don't have to claim an episode or anything - you just post whatever you have created (on April 1st, the fanworks don't even need to be episode-related, and can be anything, such as crossovers).
